Creating ‘The Luck Maker’ not only proves his artistic ability, but also shows how his inventive mind is what sets him apart from so many others in his field. The origin of the narrative came from when he was a child and a gypsy knocked on his door and began instantly reading him his fortune. Lhouette recalls being told 5 things. The ‘Luck Maker’ consists of two elements; The first being, a closed front collage of layered compositions, derived from feelings of luck and also portraying a ‘circus like vibe’. The standout components like the Crossed fingers and the Green Leprechaun are evident to the eye, but in true Lhouette Style, we can then delve into the more subtle Charms finding the ‘Greek evil Eye’ and the ‘Horseshoe’ creating his typical signature finish.
Moving onto the second element of this incredible piece, Lhouette lures us in with his Bright neon ‘OPEN’ sign, inviting us to discover what lies within, replicating the opening of a precious locket.

Once opened we are visually welcomed to the retro gypsy styling, keeping thesimilar vibe running through from the front. The statement ambiguous windows represent a love letter to the questions of life & death.
Lhouette himself has said that this has been the most changeling piece yet, which has taken a huge amount of careful planning and consideration, but the end result has showcased a exciting new format which has never been seen before in the artworld.
